This holiday weekend, Americans will be cavorting on the beach, many of them in swimwear that covers as little as possible. In 2006, Julia Turner traced the history of the bikini to explain its exploding popularity.

Sixty years ago, the world’s first bikini made its debut at a poolside fashion show in Paris. The swimsuit is now so ubiquitous—and comparatively so demure—that it’s hard to comprehend how shocking people once found it. When the bikini first arrived, its revealing cut scandalized even the French fashion models who were supposed to wear it; they refused, and the original designer had to enlist a stripper instead. The images below illustrate how the bikini slowly gained acceptance—first on the Riviera, then in the United States—and became a beachfront staple.

When the bikini was unveiled in 1946, it was by no means the first time that women had worn so revealing a garment in public. In the fourth century, for example, Roman gymnasts wore bandeau tops, bikini bottoms, and even anklets that would look perfectly at home on the beaches of Southern California today.

In the 1940s—as Kelly Killoren Bensimon —attractive women were known as “bombshells,” and anything intense was “atomic.” So, when two Frenchmen independently designed skimpy alternatives to the two-piece in the summer of 1946, both suits got nuclear nicknames. The first designer, Jacques Heim, created a tiny suit called the atome. The second, Louis Reard, introduced his design on July 5, four days after the United States had begun atomic testing in the Bikini Atoll. In a rather bold marketing ploy, Reard named his creation le bikini, implying it was as momentous an invention as the new bomb.

The bikini soon became ubiquitous. In 1965, a woman told Time it was “almost square” not to wear a bikini—which, given the outlet, suggests she was right. In 1967 the magazine wrote that “65% of the young set had already gone over.” The Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue debuted in 1964—with a white bikini on the cover. And the swimsuit’s increasing popularity was reinforced by its appearance in contemporary movies like Annette Funicello’s How To Stuff a Wild Bikini and Raquel Welch’s One Million Years B.C. One of the bikini’s earliest and most memorable film roles came in the 1962 Bond film Dr. No. (A journalist who saw an advance screening reported, “Actress Ursula Andress fills a wet bikini as if she were going downwind behind twin spinnakers.”)

Now one of the best and most stylish looking are frankies bikinis, must check and buy.

As Americans hit the road this summer, many will drive rental cars in other parts of the country or the world. While rental cars can be convenient, the associated costs are often confusing. Here’s a look at car rental mistakes that could cost you money – and how to avoid them.

1. Buying extra insurance you don’t need. If you have your own auto insurance policy, it may cover collision damage and personal liability for temporary use of a rental car (but likely not a moving truck). And if you use a credit card to book and pay for the rental car, it may provide secondary collision coverage. “The credit card coverage will kick in for anything your personal policy doesn’t cover, and you don’t need to pay your deductible,” says Brian Karimzad, the director of MileCards.com, a travel rewards card comparison website. “Check on that before you rent a car, and you may be able to decline that coverage at the rental car counter.”

On the other hand, if you don’t have your own auto policy or you’re concerned about potential premium increases should you need to file a claim with your auto policy, the car rental company’s insurance may make sense.

2. Renting from an airport. Renting from an airport often means airport surcharges. To avoid these fees and possibly bag additional savings, Teri Gault, CEO of TheGroceryGame.com and author of “Shop Smart, Save More,” suggests choosing a car rental service away from the airport. “Many off-airport rental offices provide transportation to and from the airport,” she says. “And it can be more convenient than booking at the airport and having to take a rental car shuttle and dealing with huge crowds.”

3. Not shopping around. Car rental rates can vary depending on the company or the amount of lead time, so it pays to shop around instead of taking a “one-and-done” approach.

If you’re planning to drive long distances, check for mileage caps. “Many rental companies offer unlimited miles for the car rental period, allowing you to drive the car as much as you want without facing extra fees,” says Angie Hicks, founder of AngiesList.com. “But others may assess extra fees for surpassing a daily mileage maximum. If you rent a vehicle, especially for a period more than a few days, make sure you have unlimited miles or sufficient miles to cover your travels.” When choosing between a rental with unlimited miles and a cheaper rental with a mileage cap, you may come out ahead with the former.

4. Prepaying for gas. Prepaying for gas may seem convenient (who wants to plan extra time for a pit stop on the way to an early morning flight?) but it means you’ll pay for a full tank of gas, even if you return with the tank half full. “It’s better to fill up yourself since you can usually find cheaper gas prices at a nearby station anyway,” says consumer and money-saving expert Andrea Woroch. “But don’t forget to fill it up because the cost to do so after drop-off can be a total rip-off.” Be sure to top off the gas, because some companies will charge you even if the gas gauge is just a hair away from where it should be.

Conclusion: In the end I want to let you know that Faro Car Hire is one of the best service for auto car hire, I strongly recommend to use their service

As much as we might wish it otherwise, there’s simply no magic pill to slimming down in under a week. That’s not to say you can’t slim down, of course. There’s just not a one shot, easy solution. Instead, it requires hard work, determination, a clear set of goals, and the right technique.

The right technique includes the right changes to your diet, as well as the right kind of workout. This will require a lifestyle change, there’s simply no two ways about it. You didn’t magically gain weight over night, so it would be ridiculous to hope you could magically lose it overnight, as well.

If you’re not sure where to start, here are a few tips that will help you lose the weight you can’t quite get off.

1. Try not to deprive yourself of food.

One of the quickest ways people fail at their diet changes is when they try to have far too little food. They get it into their head that in order to lose weight quickly, they should eat almost nothing. This never works, for two major reasons. First and foremost, when you start getting hungry you stop being able to think clearly. It’s incredibly hard to practice willpower when you haven’t eaten nearly enough. You’ll start mentally freaking out, and then you’ll devour as much comfort food as you can get, thus ruining your diet.

Second, even if you could avoid breaking down and splurging, starving yourself simply doesn’t work. It’s true that eventually you’ll start losing weight, of course. However, the first thing that happens is that your body goes into emergency mode. When you starve yourself, your body actually tries to maintain its fat stores as long as possible. This is because your body is fearful that it won’t get enough nutrients to survive, so it’s trying to make sure it can survive for as long as possible. So even if you avoid going nuts and eating far more than you should, you still wouldn’t be losing that fat.

2. Booze is a horrible idea. Try green tea, instead!

While green tea won’t get you drunk, it is a drink that will help boost the body’s ability to burn calories. Not only that, but since it’s leaves boiled in water, there are almost no calories what so ever to worry about. Alcohol, meanwhile, is almost entirely empty calories. There’s no nutrition in your alcoholic beverages, yet your body still metabolizes the calories and adds it to your fat content.

3. Move as often as you can!

While trying to stave themselves is the biggest reason people fail to change their diets, the second biggest reason is trying to exercise. Much like people get the idea that they should starve themselves when they try to lose weight, they also get the idea that they should try running for miles on end, and lifting all the weight they can get their hands on. Naturally, this winds up causing them to tire out quickly, become overly sore, and give up within a week or less.

4. Gastric Sleeve Diet is also one of the best method!

As soon as the summer comes it seems imperative for people to take off their clothes and expose their skin to the sun.

Everyone likes a nice bronze glow, wanting to look healthy and attractive by adding some color to ourselves.

Naturally, skin protection is the foremost necessity when it comes to sunbathing, preventing premature skin aging and wrinkling as well as skin cancer and damage.

It is also, however, important to look good when sunbathing and the Designer Bikini is always an option when it comes to getting the best suntan with little “white bits”.

Designer bikinis can run into thousands of pounds, but it is possible to look good on the beach without it costing you a pretty penny.

The bikini can be traced back as far as the Romans but was often thought to be too revealing and risque.

Composing of a bra type top, exposed navel and then smaller pants, or often a skirt, there is very little material used in their creation.

Throughout the decades the bikini has been worn by many famous actresses from the first Miss World competition in 1951 to the famous scene of Ursula Andress emerging from a beautiful blue sea in the James Bond film “Dr. No”.

In fact, the bikini has been responsible for making many female movie stars into iconic sex symbols.

It is now accepted as the most common and fashionable form of beach wear in the world and varies from sizes, colors, styles and price.

When the increase in skin cancer was directed at exposure to the sun, the sales of the bikini reduced drastically in the 1990’s however it has since grown.

The traditional bikini continues to create controversy in the world today, wearers being banned in Barcelona from wearing it anywhere other than the beach area.

Many designers have their own version of the swim wear using various material and styles, from very, very small to the larger types of top and bottoms.

Some styles even include a sarong to cover up the legs and lower body when away from the beach or swim area.

In order to select a flattering style for use on the beach, ensure you select the right size top and bottom.

Some makes provide separate purchases of tops and bottoms or a mix and match service to change pieces in order to create variety.

There are no hard and fast rules when it comes to choosing the style to suit you however, the more comfortable and correctly fitting, the better you will look on the beach when topping up your tan.

It is interesting to note that individuals tend to dress in a way that reveals their personality and values.

The other day I met a gentleman who was wearing a Saskatchewan Roughrider cap. When I teased him by saying “You are a brave individual to wear that hat in public” he replied “Hope springs eternal”. You see the football team has had a horrible year and at that point their statistics were nine losses and no wins. My friend showed both courage and loyalty in his choice of apparel! By the way, he was also wearing a University of Lethbridge jacket. Another show of support on his part!

I will recommend you to buy and wear Dinosaur T Shirt which is in trending these days. Sometimes people choose designer clothing for their wardrobe. I’m not sure if they like it, believe it is made better or think that it is an important status symbol to dress in brand-names.
Others choose wardrobes that communicate messages in print such as “Baby on board” or “Security”. Still others wear items that were purchased at their favourite vacation spot or at a concert.

Often charities produce shirts in special colours with logos for their walkathons or fundraising events. Names on clothing might promote a sports team, business association or just the name of the person who is wearing the item.

Photos or words can be humourous or can carry a serious message. My older son, for example, is a computer “geek”. He has a shirt with lights that flash in the same way as a computer that it “booting up”. He thinks this is so cool because it announces to the world what he is passionate about…

Style of clothing can reveal a lot about a person. For example, I tend to wear dresses in the summer and pants in the winter because of our climate conditions. Those who purchase classic items can have a consistent look despite changes in style over time.

When we were young my aunt used to say “Dress for the job you want, not the one you already have”. You see beliefs influence actions. The other day, when I was having my nails done, there was another customer who was wearing pajamas! I guess comfort was her primary goal.

Sometimes we have choices and sometimes we don’t. I think it is sad when someone dresses in a provocative fashion thinking that they look attractive and not realizing that not all those around them agree!

Many agencies and businesses have a dress code and most parents also have expectations about what their teenagers should be wearing. Clothing that is too small or too large is not flattering. Colour also plays an important part in setting a mood and helping us look our best (or worst).

So, this week’s homework is to think about how you dress and what message you are conveying to yourself and others. Do you feel good about what is hanging in the closet and on your body? If not, get rid of it and start focusing on who you really are and what you really want to communicate to the world.

Organic coconut oil is truly a miraculous gift from nature, especially in its purest extra virgin form. I am not aware of a more versatile oil. Produced from fresh coconut meat (non-copra), without the use of chemicals or high heat, it retains high levels of antioxidants and health-giving properties. A delicate coconut scent and taste is characteristic of the virgin oil.

Do not compare organic coconut oil to the commercial grade oils made from copra. These oils are typically refined, bleached and deodorized. But there are some reputable companies that produce expeller pressed refined coconut oil the “old” way with mechanical extraction. That means they do not use solvent extracts. The oils they produce are not hydrogenated and do not contain trans fatty acids. Since they are deodorized (with physical refining) the taste tends to be bland.

It is best to buy from a reputable company since there are not many industry standards in the processing of the oils.

Coconut Oil for Different Uses

Excellent for cooking & baking

Reduces inflammation

Supports heart health

Balances cholesterol

Improves thyroid function

Supports weight loss

Coconut oil for Diaper Rash

Increases energy and stamina

Improves digestion

Supports immune function

Antibacterial, antimicrobial, antiviral

Coconut oil was widely used prior to the 1950’s. Due to its high saturated fat content it fell out of favor because it was believed to increase the risk of heart disease. The opposite is now known to be true. Containing medium chain fatty acids (MCFAs), this oil has numerous health benefits especially for the heart and thyroid.

Her school uniform says it all by her own words — totally stained with blood, it is a aching sign of loss. It is the uniform young Malala Yousafzai was tiring on an October daytime two years ago when the Pakistani Taliban gunshot her for supporting a girl’s right to an learning.

History’s earliest Nobel Peace Prize champion said this month that she gave her dark-blue-and-white uniform for the 2014 Peace Prize display in Oslo because “it is an significant part of my life.”

“Now I want to show it to teenagers, to people all everywhere the world,” Yousafzai, 17, said in an meeting lead for the display. “This is my right; it is the right of each child, to go to institute. This must not be ignored.”

On Wednesday, Yousafzai is to receive her Nobel at a ceremony in Oslo. Her very existence and her activities since the gunfire – including speeches at the United Nations and the World Bank, writing a book and founding a foundation – would seem to assurance that the cause won’t be neglected. But discontinuing the Islamist extremists focused on overpowering equivalent rights for girls and women is additional matter.

The Pakistani Taliban has sustained gusting up schools for girls in Pakistan’s ethnic areas, and, crossways the border, the Afghan Taliban has lead poison attacks on  schools to dishearten presence. You can watch the complete story of her life in the movie which is recently released watch he named me malala online free

(And we barely need to reference Nigeria’s Boko Haram – a group of girl-kidnapping zealots whose very name symbolizes Western teaching as a sin in their type of Islam.)

“Malala is the sign of the infidels and offensiveness,” a Pakistani Taliban lecturer said the day his undertaking declared duty for sending a gunman to execute a schoolgirl. Really, they might not have chosen a better sign to weaken their own reason.
